Karen has worked in the realms of higher education for the past decade. Her Master's Degree is in Instructional Technology with an emphasis in Training and Development and adult education. Prior to obtaining her Master's, Karen worked at Utah State University, the Logan School District where she taught secondary school for two years and the Idaho School District. Karen joined Red Mountain Spa as the Program Manager focusing on Guest Education and Educational Programming.

"There is no better life mission than helping people learn and change their lives,” Karen said. “My career focus has always been on providing experiences that will impact lives for good. I am a firm believer in applying Edutainment to any educational component because I know ideal learning is education coupled with entertainment! I believe individuals experience everything on an emotional level first. They are stimulated by one or five of their senses and this opens them up to learning."
Karen is a native of Utah, but has enjoyed brief residencies in Argentina and Mexico where she became fluent in Spanish. She is a Hope of America award winner.
